During the last week of September, Cameron moved to Indianapolis to start his new job at Larson Financial Group. He started on a Tuesday night and it wasn't until Friday evening that we were able to see each other. After work on Friday I met up with him at his work and he showed me around his new building and office. We had a gift card to Maggiano's and ate some great Italian food that night. It was a very romantic setting and Cameron kept on saying, "Well isn't this a romantic date?" and he pointed out to me more than once how well things were going on our date. I thought that was odd. We did talk briefly about marriage and he encouraged me to trust him and that engagement was soon.

Then, we left the restaurant and headed back to my house in separate cars. On the drive home he drove in front of me and I saw him talking a lot on the phone and moving his hands a lot! (Matter of fact, that whole time he was notifying our parents that he was going to pop the question that night. Later he told me that he had the ring on the passenger seat wondering how he was going to get it in his pocket without me noticing a big bump on his hip.)

When we got to my house we parked our cars and he called me down to the bottom of the driveway to help him unload his car. "Oh Becca, I have something I made for you last week and I forgot to send it to you in the mail." So he gave me a book that he made out of finger paints, the same kit we used on our first date. The book had around 10 pages and was written like a children's book about a "Cameron Bear" and a "Becca Bear." This whole time I was thinking this is a great way to propose but there is no way he is going to tonight, so I read through the book quickly. When I got to the last page it had a picture of Cameron Bear giving Becca Bear a ring on October 2nd 2009! I almost dropped the book and just stood there staring with my mouth wide open. "Becca, finish reading" he said. So I read the last sentence as it said, "He got down on one knee..." So Cameron got down on his knee there in the grass by my driveway and proposed. I did a lot of laughing and some crying, but mostly that girly laugh. We went inside and celebrated with my parents, and then with his parents the following day at the Taylor University football game.
